Milestones in Our Story

1968

Original Campus

The school opened in the fall of 1968, with 42 students and four teachers, offering preschool through second grade. A grade was added each year up until 1980. Then, in May 1981, the school graduated its first high school class of 12 proud seniors.

2016

New Campus

Blue Ridge celebrated a relocation to south Kansas City. With a new location, Blue Ridge Christian School began building new roots while continuing its original mission of equipping and empowering in a caring, safe environment.

Today

Growth & Partnership

Today, our school enjoys accreditation with both the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Cognia. Over the years, we have touched the lives of thousands of students, including many international scholars, through education grounded in a biblical worldview, academic excellence, and the formation of godly character.

Our juniors and seniors have the opportunity to take dual-credit courses through our partnership with local colleges, allowing them to earn college credit while completing their high school diploma.

Standardized testing helps our faculty meet each student's academic needs, equipping them to perform at a high level and supporting successful admission to outstanding colleges and universities.

We invite families to visit our campus at 8524 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64138, and learn more about the Blue Ridge community.
